Minutes of meeting 19th May 2010

Garden Party Update: Unfortunately due to the Council being unable to obtain a let for this date, the Garden Party has been cancelled.
The “Bags 2 School” raised £276. Thanks to everyone who donated. And also to John for allowing the bags to be dropped off the night before.
Teacher’s Report: Miss MacDonald thanked all those who attend the Curricular Evening. All the information from that evening will be blogged. Further evenings are planned for each term.
The school Improvement Plan will be collated and also be posted on the blog.
The new P4 -7 reading scheme has arrived and it is hoped that it will start this week.
Nothing has been arranged regarding the teachers and classes for next year as yet.
The HMIe are back in January 2011.
No date has been set for the sports day but this will go out in a bulletin and on the blog when it has been decided. It is thought it may be a World Cup theme with a P7 initiative of “Cupcakes & Cocktails” – non-alcoholic(!) in the hall afterwards.
Open Day is hoped for early June (8th June?), but again this information will be sent out when something is definite.
The next disco will be “shorts and shades” and is on Tuesday 29th June.
Treasurer’s Report: Scott informed us that a new bank account has been opened with the Bank of Scotland, and the signatories will be Scott, Karen and Sarah. The account stands at £2866.15, with the “Posh Night” payments to the Thistle yet to come off. Scott asked that any outstanding receipts be handed to him as soon as possible.

A.C.O.B. Volunteers were asked for helping a few green fingered souls trying to clear and sort the wildlife garden to make it into a fantastic learning and creative space for the whole school. Anyone interested should speak to Mrs Pert.
