Dear Parents,
P1 Trial Lunches
If you are having a trial lunch next week please ensure that you have purchased your tickets and written your name, and your child’s name, on the lists outside the office.
If you have not done this yet and wish to go to the trial lunch then please purchase tickets and write your name on the list by Monday 1st September at the latest.
The times have changed slightly for the trial lunches and are now as follows:-
Tuesday 2nd September - 11.45 a.m.
Wednesday 3rd September - 11.45 a.m.
Thursday 4th September - 12 noon (due to P4-7 being in the hall until 12 noon)
Please come in the main door, sign in and wait until you are told to come into the hall – don’t forget your tickets!
I hope you enjoy your lunch. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Parents,
Following our recent correspondence with the above to express our concerns, we have now received a letter from Alistair Mackay.
He has detailed what will happen at Loirston on an interim basis.
Should you wish to read this response, a copy is held in the school office. The School Association will be following this up and will keep you informed.

Loirston SchoolLoirston AvenueCOVE BAYTel: 8976867th March 2008Dear Parents,
SAILING THE SEVEN SEAS
This is the title of this year’s Primary 3 – Primary 7 concert to which you are cordially invited. The arrangements are as follows
| Monday 17th March7.15 – 8.45 p.m.Primary 3 - Primary 7 |
Tuesday 18th March7.15 – 8.45 p.m.Primary 3 - Primary 7 |
In the first instance, each family will be entitled to two adult tickets and these will be issued on return of this reply slip up to and including Thursday 13th March at a cost of £2.00 each. The ticket allocation can be 2 tickets for one performance or 1 ticket for each performance. There has to be a total restriction on numbers due to fire safety regulations, so first come, first served. If, after Thursday 13th March there are any unsold tickets the information will be recorded on the school telephone helpline on Friday 14th March. The information will be available to access after 2 p.m. and any remaining tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis at 9 a.m. on Monday 17th March. To access the helpline dial 08700541999 then enter the school’s unique Pin Number – 011470. For the evening performances, pupils should return to school at 7 p.m., bringing a book or game that will hold their attention until it is their spot. They should enter by their unit door and go to their own area in their unit. The audience should enter by the front door. Doors open at 7.10 p.m. Due to the finish time and being mindful of safety, parents should collect their child from their class area at the end of the performance or come to school for 8.45 pm. Please indicate on the reply slip in order to clarify the situation for teaching staff. Please complete a separate collection section if more than one of your children are performing. One ticket request is issued to each family.
Are there any volunteers out there to help supervise/dress (7.00 – 8.45 p.m.) on either of the two evenings of the concert? If you can assist us, please telephone school and leave a message with the school office staff.
If you are a parent of a Primary 3 or 4 pupil, it would be helpful if you could collect your child from the yellow unit door after they have performed – obviously this would be on the night you are NOT in the audience. This would be around 8.00 p.m. This letter is also an intimation that the taking of photographs and videos will be permitted. If you do not wish your child(ren) to be photographed or filmed please put this in writing to the Head Teacher. Any parent who does not wish to have their child(ren) photographed or filmed is advised to withdraw their child(ren) from the concert performance. Yours sincerely,M. S. MCPHEEDepute Head Teacher
