New School for Children and Young People with Complex Needs.

We would like to invite you to be part of the naming process for the new specialist school. We would value suggestions from staff, pupils and parents for this citywide provision.
Please see information below from Caroline Stirton, Executive Head Teacher, Aberdeen’s Centre of Excellence on how to respond.

New School for Children and Young People with Complex Needs.

The opening of the new specialist school is fast approaching in August 2017. It will be located near Heathryburn School in the Northfield area.
We are looking for your ideas for an appropriate name for this city wide provision. This new school is the amalgamation of three establishments – Hazlewood, Woodlands and Preschool ASN Service and will include pupils aged from 3-18 years.

We welcome your suggestions for a name and any background information that helped you to come up with your suggestion. The top six names will be selected to go forward to be consulted upon before going to full committee on 15th March 2017. The time scale is tight and the deadline for submissions is 12 noon on Wednesday 8th February 2017.

Please forward your suggestions to the schoolestate@aberdeencity.gov.uk before the deadline.

Kind regards
