Induction Evenings
The P1 Induction will take place at the school on 31st May at 7pm and the Nursery Induction will take place on 7th June also at 7pm. More information will follow.

Sainsbury’s Vouchers
If you shop at Sainsbury, please collect the Active Schools Vouchers and ask your child to bring them to a collection point at the front office. Ms Thorpe coordinates these for us every year and redeems them for Sports equipment.

Garden Shed
The school has secured funding from Cash for Kids to add to some funds that Y8 pupils already had. This cash was used to purchase the Garden Shed to store gardening tools and equipment. This resource is currently being used extensively by y8 and will be extended to the wider school and community in the future. The shed was officially opened by Miss Macdonald before she left.
Sadly there has already been some malicious damage to the shed. Please be vigilant and let the school know if you notice anything as this was very disappointing for the children.

Sports Day
Our sports day will be on the 13th of June this session (weather permitting). Should the weather not be suitable we will Groupcall as early as possible to let you know. If Monday does not go ahead we will aim for Tuesday. If we do not manage to have it by Tuesday that week we will postpone till Monday 20th. Our Sports Day will have an Olympic Theme. Times are below for your information:
9.30am – Sports Activities on the field for P1-3
11.00am Flat races on the field for all pupils (pupils from P1 to P7 will run a flat race and then a tattie and spoon race)
1.30pm – Sports activities on the field for P4-7
More information will follow nearer the time.

Acting Head Teacher
Miss Munro hopes to take up her post as Acting Head Teacher at Loirston School on 1st June. In the meantime, Mrs Campbell-Morgan and Mrs Pert will continue to be responsible for the day to day running of the school. Mrs Pert still has a teaching commitment to P1/2. There is cover in place for some of that and for P7A but the work will be overseen by Mrs Pert and Mrs Campbell-Morgan.

Learning Journeys
Your child should have the first entry of the term in their Learning Journey on Friday 29th April and fortnightly after that. Please have a look at their ILD or Learning Journey jotter and comment if you have a minute. Staff and pupils appreciate your comments.

S. Campbell-Morgan
Acting Head Teacher
