Officers at Fire Scotland have brought to our attention that local children and youths have been playing at the derelict Mains of Loirston building and that a fire was set a couple of weeks ago.
They asked that we make you aware of the dangers in the building so that you might discuss these with your children if you wish. These are:-
Suspected Asbestos, Roof collapse, Falling slates/masonry, Uneven floors/holes in floors, Slips and trip hazards, Barbed wire, High fire loads, Electrical cables overhead, History of fires, Presence of human waste, Animal waste/bird droppings.
